I have been working very hard to find more info. I have been searching high and low, and finally I have come up with something. There's no more Hannibal stuff at the mo, but I have got some Jacquo Le Croquant. Sorry, I was going to put a few very nice pictures on here, but they're going to have to wait because this thing is buggering up again. I found a transcription (because I'm too lazy to translate it myself!), but I will have to check it at some point. Apparently, it's not incredibly accurate, but I think it should give the genral gist:

"It's a role that's isn't easy to master and figure out, that's actually why I hesitated because it was hard to master a role like this since anthony hopkins did it so well. I'm a little afraid of what it's going to turn out like and what people are going to think and after all i am a french person in an english movie.But im really happy to have done it and it was a beautiful experience. I really admired Anthony Hopkins with his performances in the 3 films. It was really a joy to be able to take on this role. Now we will see how it turns out to be.
Anthony Hoppkins has nothing to do in this movie since it is about when he was young. I was supposed to meet him and talk to him but I couldn't due to schedule difficulties. So I have no clue what he is thinking about this project."

I feel very guilty. The last update was on the 14th May, which means that I have been a very bad whatever-I-am. You see! I know nothing about this website. I don't even know what one would call me. *Sighs* Anyways, down to business. I am off to France tomorrow for a very religious experience (*cough*) with some loverly French boys. Oh yes. One of them is going to share my tent (!) but it's alright. We're Catholics... I'll be away for 10 days....no, wait, that'll mean that there won't be much change on the posting frequency. So that was irrelevant. However, I feel very guilty, so I have found new (yes, new!) pictures of Gaspard from a magazine called Crash. I think. I'm having a slight hyperventilation moment here.

I was quite innocently browsing IMDB...Ok, ok, I was looking for pictures of Gaspard.... Anyways, I found a brand spanking new picture of him in 'Young Hannibal'!

Let me tell you this. I love Gaspard and I love Mandolins. So Gaspard + Mandolin = Tres sexy. However, I'm a little confused as to why Hannibal would be holding a mandolin.... Hannibal + Mandolin = Tres strange. I still love it though, especially his hair. Its just....wow. I can't describe it. Oh and, yay for cords!

Hey everyone, just in case you didn't know, Cannes film festival started on Wednesday, and 'Paris, Je T'Aime' premiered yesterday. Gaspard was in the segment directed by Gus Van Sant, who is not really my favourite director. (And that's putting it mildly.) I was really worried that he might of cocked Gaspard's segment up, and alas, I think he may have done. You may know that Van Sant is gay, and he feels that he has to put an element of honosexuality into practically all of his films. He decided to do that with Gaspard's segment. *Sighs* Apparantly, it fell a bit flat. Here is the first review I have found, and it comes from IMDB (Oh and spoilers ahoy): http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0401711/board/flat/43658598 Let's hope that other reviews wil be better. It's supposed to come out in Britain (and Europe) on 21st June, but I'm not sure what the US release date will be. Anyways, don't you think Gaspard looks spiffing in this white jacket? It's a teeny bit 80s, but I think it looks rather good on him. Of course, as always, the hair is my favourite part. If you're wondering who the other guys are, the one on the far left is Elias McConnell (sp?) and the ione in the middle is Gus Van Sant. Bastard. I'm keeping an eye out for a vid of Gaspard at Cannes on their website; if you find one, please let me know!

On the non-personal front, Jacquou le croquant is almost out. I'm having a lot of trouble waiting for it, but I guess I have no choice. Then I'll have to wait some more after it is out to get it in the United States. Blast it! Oh well.

Ok, Ok. I found this interview weeks ago at school. Now, the computer techies at school are complete trolls, and they blocked this site. Bastards. So, I had to wait until I got home to put the article on here. Trouble was, I couldn't find the article again, which confused me no end. I found this interesting nugget of information some time ago, but forgot to post it on here: 'Gaspard Ulliel has given up on IMDb since he wanted to correct mis-informed trivia about himself, only to be told by IMDb that being the person in question wasn't sufficient proof for knowing about the posted circumstances in question.' So, one of the things about our dear Gaspard is untrue!

Strayed...

I don't know if anyone here has seen "Strayed" but I honestly did not get the ending. Actually I didn't really get the last almost twenty minutes of the movie. Especially the sex scene. Why was that in there? It made almost no sense. Maybe I'm coming at it with a different cultural background than the audience they aimed it at. That scene really baffled me because I don't see any motivation for them to do it. The other scene that confused me somewhat was the very end where they focus on the one man who is building something. Is he supposed to be someone we know?

This is why it is so hard for people to watch foreign films. Sometimes there is some background in the story that if they were born/raised in that country they would know, but otherwise the watchers are completely baffled.

Another question: Does anyone know how accurate the English subtitles are? There were sometimes I was wondering if that was what they were really saying because it sounds really weird.

Hi, I found out how to do members! Aren't I just so clever? Erm....no, not really. It didn't take a genius to work it out unfortunately, which means that I am quite stupid and maybe slightly retarded. Oh dear.
Have any of you written to Gaspard yet? I thought I'd write to him in French, just to show off, but I bet I've made loads of mistakes. Obviously I daren't ask my teacher to correct it - he'd just laugh in my face when he saw what I'd written in it.
There doesn't seem to be any new information about any of his new films, but don't worry; I haven't given up yet!

Hey ho, back from Italy (yay!) and Derbyshire (boo!). I can't remember who it was that posted it, but that video is the coolest thing ever! He sounds just like me when he puts on the English accent. It's uncanny, except I'm not a man, so it doesn't really I suppose. Heh.
I can't find anything extra about Young Hannibal/ Jacquo le Croquant, so any info would be appreciated. There doesn't seem to be much happening with 'Paris, Je t'aime'. It was supposed to premiere in May, at Cannes, but I heard that it's been pushed off the program by the Da Vinci Code. They go for the Hollywood blockbuster, over the most intriguing film of the year. Bloody typical.
Anyway, must be off. Keep the Gaspard goodness coming! And don't forget to write to his address!

I found a really nice picture of Gaspard, modelling for Dior Homme, and looking very sexy indeed. The hair and scarf and hat are just so cool! I also found a good site for clips and trailers of his films. It's called cinemovies.fr, which means that sadly, it's all in French. Really testing my French A level skills there! The best are of him in Les Egares, click to see the trailer, and there should be a new box that pops up. I haven't posted for ages ! So, to make up for it, here is an utterly gorgeous picture of Gaspard! I just love his hair in it. And the scarf. And the hat. Wow. I was thinking about doing a news update every so often, but I don't have any particular news at the moment. I've found a picture of his starring role in 'Jacquo Le Croquant', which I will post as soon as I've found it again!
